Does Your Yoga Practice Make You Smile?
I don’t mean that Yoga should only be fun, flowers and smiles… but mostly I enjoy my practice. Sometimes slowing down and listening inwards actually helps me to release sadness, anger, jealousy and all the other tricky emotions too.
But mostly my practice is about letting go of tension, being curious about my breath and exploring different ways of moving my body. I think the process is fun, especially when I’m just noodling around for me… not practicing in teacher mode (thinking “ah yes, I must include that in next weeks class!”)
Letting go of any sense of ‘achieving’ is helpful to me so that I can just enjoy the moment.
How is your practice treating you at the minute? I encourage you to inject a little more fun into it.
