Gratitude Practice
Over the summer, I’ve been feeling especially grateful for the sunshine and the long, light-filled days. It’s so easy to get caught up in the busyness of life and forget to appreciate the little things that bring us joy.
Recently, I’ve been sharing a simple gratitude practice with my students — an invitation to notice small “glimmers” of happiness in their everyday lives. Each night before bed, I take a moment to reflect on my day and think about something I’m grateful for — perhaps a comforting cup of tea, a good laugh with friends, or a beautiful flower I happened to notice.
That simple act of appreciation helps me feel more grounded and content, even on days that might otherwise seem hectic or stressful. Why not give it a try yourself? You might be surprised by how much a small gratitude practice can brighten your perspective.
